DescriptionThis off-white silk ribbon features a rust-brown stamped ink decoration. It contains a very small selvedge or silk weave stripe on the left and right edges. A solider on horseback wielding a sword is depicted in a circular design in the center of the ribbon. In stamped ink, "CENTENNIAL, 1878. / COMMITTEE / OF / ARRANGEMENTS."NotesThe Committee of Arrangements was formed for the commemoration of the Centennial of the Battle of Monmouth, which was fought on 28 June 1778.
