DescriptionA medal with a narrow bronze pin bar, woven silk blue and gold stripe grosgain ribbon. A circular pendant medal hangs from the ribbon, depicting Lady Victory at left, amid a scene of soldiers, battleships, and biplanes. On the reverse, a central inscription is flanked on either side by laurel sprigs, with the New Jersey state seal below.
NotesElwood Brown (7 March 1894 - September 1963), was a resident of Freehold, Monmouth County. From 1910 through 1940 he appears in the US Federal Census as a laborer at the Karagheusian Rug Mill. Brown served as a Private in the 2nd Infantry of the New Jersey National Guard during World War 1
