DescriptionA nine patch variation quilt with a center eight-pointed star and sawtooth border, of plain white and red cotton fabrics, hand pieced. The blocks are set on point in a seven by eight arrangement. The quilt has a plain white cotton backing, thin batting, and outline quilting stitches. A narrow binding is sewn on of plain white cotton.Curatorial RemarksThe relatively small size of this quilt indicates it may have been made for an infant or child.
