DescriptionThe circular cherry top has a molded edge, with a pin and socket hinge and small brass spring latch fixed to its underside. The hinge mechanism allows the top to tilt vertically for storage. The mahogany pedestal features a turned column and ring over a flattened ball at its base. The three cabriole legs end with pad or "snake" feet. Given the difference in material between the top and the table base, it is likely that the top is replaced.
Curatorial RemarksThe candlestand may originate from Eastern Pennsylvania or the Delaware Valley.
