DescriptionThis large black painted Windsor arm chair features a plain shaped crest rail that ends in carved volutes above nine plain turned spindles. The spindles fit into a curved medial rail with narrow rounded arm terminals supported by baluster turned supports. The large D-shaped seat rests on four baluster turned and splayed legs braced with an "H" style bulbous turned stretcher assembly.NotesAccording to the adhesive tape label transcription, Mrs. J. Amory Haskell apparently acquired the chair from Louis Richmond, a longtime antiques dealer in Freehold, Monmouth County.
