In gilt lettering on blue enamel, the top border reads "NEPTUNE CLUB."Curatorial RemarksThe Neptune Club was founded in 1850 at the eastern stem of the Navesink River, known as Rocky Point, as a gentlemen’s club and maritime organization. The group's clubhouse was destroyed by fire in 1910.
