DescriptionA heavy two-part board top, held together with two cleats nailed to the underside of the lid, sits on a deep rectangular trough with dovetailed corners, canted sides, and an applied quarter round molding around the bottom of the box. It stands on four turned and splayed legs ending in small ball feet, braced with four simple rectangular stretchers. The dough box retains a red and black decorative painted finish over an early, perhaps original, blue paint layer.Collections
