Curatorial RemarksThe subject of this portrait in a folk-art style remains unknown. However, it did descend to Margaret Edwards Rullman (1894-1983) of Red Bank, for twenty-five years a trustee of the Association. The woman, wearing a fashionable day cap festooned with blue ribbons, could be from the Cox, Perrine or Anderson families of Monmouth County.
