DescriptionA small round button, featuring a classic bust length portrait of Santa Clause on the front, with lettering along the top reading "MERRY XMAS - MEET ME AT SALZ'S, KEYPORT, N.J." A pin fastener is located on the reverse side of the button.
Curatorial RemarksAdam Salz (1864 - 1925) was one of the pioneers of the dry goods business in Monmouth County. He started a small country store in the town of Keyport in 1864, and the family-run business eventually blossomed into multiple department stores and specialty shops.
