DescriptionBlack oval tag with white lettering which reads "FORT MONMOUTH / 8240 / 1943 / NEW JERSEY" with red and white signal corps insignia. Around the edge is a thin white border. There is a half inch slot at the bottom of the tag.NotesThese tags were used for automobile identification at Fort Monmouth, Monmouth County, during World War II.
