DescriptionLandscape view of a narrow green pasture containing four horses in the foreground, and ten black and white cows in the distance. A wood lot flanks the pasture on the right, and in the distance is a wooded hill. A fence line on the left side of the pasture separates it from a field. The sky is blue with a few white clouds.
NotesA painting created after Gulick moved into Ivy House, and therefore done from memory. In this work the artist experienced considerable difficulty in rendering perspective correctly.
