DescriptionThis infant's cradle features square corner posts with turned ball finials and lower cleat tabs fixed to broad curved rocker panels with rounded end stops. The canted rectangular side panels are edged with narrow applied molding. Thin decorative brackets have been attached to each side at the cradle's head. Head and foot panels were enriched with elaborately shaped crests. Three small brass knobs run along the left side of the cradle just below the molding. The right side knobs are now missing.
